Mission Statement
To inspire others to discover what it is to live in authentic, intimate relationship with God
I believe that
- God loves his people enough to send his one and only son to die for them
- in response to this sacrifice, we are to lay down our own desires and seek him above all things
- God desires to be in a personal relationship with each one of us that shapes who we are and how we live our lives
- Such a relationship is not restricting but freeing and fulfilling
My desire is to
- share experiences from my own journey in deepening my relationship with God, not as a formula to be followed, but to provoke inward reflection
- Encourage others in their pursuit of a life-defining relationship with God
- Be a reflection of God’s love that draws others into a desire to know him more
Bio
My life has been a journey that I could never have predicted. I am a wife and mother of two. My husband Adam was a firefighter when I married him. After more than ten years in the fire service my husband felt called to move our family to Haiti. He wanted to serve with an organization he had been introduced to on a short-term missions trip. It took a little while for my heart to get on board, but eventually we left everything behind and moved to Haiti.
There I learned a lot about living cross-culturally, loving well, homeschooling, and the importance of community. We came back to the U.S. a little over three years later. I wasn’t sure about being back in the U.S. but God was not done with me yet. After a time of healing from traumas, transitions, and tarnished beliefs about my self worth, the Lord called me to write. I have learned so much about who God is, and what it means to be in an authentic relationship with him. He has changed the way I look at the world and my purpose in it. My hope is that you would experience the love, joy, peace, and purpose that I have found through my relationship with him as you dive deeper into your own relationship with God.
